Nursing Law and
Care Home Law

Care home law

Our core competences

Our clients include operators of stationary facilities with usually a hundred or more residents and ambulatory care services. We advise and assist them in contract negotiations with cost bearing institutions, arbitration and court proceedings. Care home law is primarily regulated in the Wohn- und Betreuungsvertragsgesetz (German Residential and Nursing Care Contract Act) and, in the broadest sense, encompasses the legal norms relating to facilities in which people live and are cared for or supervised. It covers not only stationary – but also outpatient living arrangements. The law governing residential care facilities is closely related to the regulations of SGB XI and SGB XII (German Social Code). Our advice covers the problems that arise in care home facilities on a daily basis.
